In recognition of his scientific and academic work, Dr. Ricardo Villalba, CONICET senior researcher at the Argentine Institute of Nivology, Glaciology and Environmental Sciences (IANIGLA, CONICET-UNCUYO-Gob. Mza.) was invited to join the National Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences (ANCEFN) as a Corresponding Academician in Mendoza.

Ricardo is an Earth Sciences and Climatology expert and is already a National Academy of Agronomy and Veterinary Science member. He received the Konex award in 2023 and is among the 100 most outstanding people of the last decade of Argentine science and technology (2013-2022).
